This past February we had a special event called "Hein's Repair Shop". This mission's project was to raise extra support for Caleb and Ashtyn Hein who serve the Lord at Victory Bible Camp in Alaska. This young family is in need of repairs or replacement of their family vehicle. The night consisted of decorating our Fellowship Hall to look like a 1960's repair shop. A meal of brisket and chicken was served with all the fixings. A silent action was held on tools, oils, additives and old car signs. We were able to raise $3,000 for this missionary family and have a lot of fun in doing so. Praise the Lord!
Our church is committed to support KCMI Radio on a monthly basis. KCMI is a local radio station that reaches out to listeners in the panhandle of Nebraska and eastern Wyoming with quality Biblical teaching and Christian music. The staff and board of directors are Christ followers with a heart to share the Good News of Christ Jesus, and provide Biblical training to area listeners. Our church worship service can be heard on KCMI (97.1) every 3rd Sunday @ 10:30 a.m.
Each summer, during the last week of August our church holds a "County Fair Event" witch consists of homemade entries, crafts, and garden produce. The items are judged and receive ribbons. There are tractor driving contests, horseshoe competition, children's fun house, burger fry, and an informal worship service of singing and Bible lesson. The proceeds from all the entries being sold by silent bidding are given to a different mission need each year. This year's County Fair is to be held August 25th and 26th.
Community Bible Church has been supporting the Camp Ministry of Camp Rock for many years. We believe one of the best ways to reach children and youth is through summer camp. We give to this ministry on a monthly basis, promote the activities of the camp, encourage our youth to attend and serve at the camp. You can register youth on their website www.camprock.net or call @ 308-262-1585.
Chosen People Ministries has been sharing the love of the Messiah with the Jewish people since 1894. It is a world wide outreach ministry seeking to evangelize Jewish people through the most effective and creative means possible. Michael Zinn, his wife Natalie, and children Daniel and Ariela are in our prayers, and are given monthly support by our church. We stand with God's Chosen People and believe that God has an amazing future for the Jewish people as He fulfills His promises to them.
